This is what we call luxury dining

Just the other night, L was randomly browsing through the internet and happend to come across this article on the ninemsn travel section: "Would you pay $15,000 for a meat pie?" And of course, being related to food, she quickly links it to J...

Um yeh... that might just a taaddd pricey for a beef pie you might think, but maybe you should read the descrption before you say anything else :P

"...famed Japanese Wagyu beef (worth $965 a kilo), black truffles and Chinese mushrooms so rare they're picked under armed guard. The sauce recipe also called for two bottles of 1982 Château Mouton Rothschild red wine (costing more than $7722) and a 24-carat gold-leaf garnish..."

Don't tell me that didn't get any of you wanting a slice! coz we know when we finished reading that, we both forgot about the price tag for the moment and though 'acutally.. i really want to try that!' hehehe. But what got J the most were probably those mushrooms!!! coz how often can you get mushrooms so rare they need to be picked under armed guard???! Wouldn't you be interested in trying a piece too? But too bad that pie had already been sold a few years ago.. :( otherwise we wouldn't mind scabbing a bite off those lucky ones who got to have a taste of it! hehe

Another one that caught L's attention was the icecream sundae that cost more than $1000!! and this one looks like it is still available! hehe yayy!

"the Golden Opulence Sundae, made of Tahitian vanilla ice-cream infused with Madagascar vanilla beans and rare Venezuelan Chuao chocolate. The whole creation is covered with 23-carat edible gold leaf, with a serving of sweet Grande Passion caviar just to up the price.."

Probably the most luxurious icecream sundae ey? Apparently it also made it into the Guinness world record for the most expensive dessert. Maybe next time if we go to New York it would be worth a try :P

Also worth mentioning is the Bling H2O - a bottle of water that costs $46! the bottle is very pretty though, made of frosted glass coverd with Swarovski crystals! how cute! hehe

Nibble on Nibblies! xx
